About Us
DEAL.org is a by-youth for-youth web-based program that began in 1997. DEAL.org is operated by the Youth Engagement Section of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, and is part of the National Youth Services branch of the RCMP’s Crime Prevention Services.
DEAL.org aims to help youth realize their full potential by promoting positive relationships with family, friends and members of the community. Our main goal is to provide resources to help youth make healthy, informed lifestyle choices and to encourage youth to think critically about issues and get involved in their communities.
The site consists of four main projects: the Knowzone – a digital library, the Blog, the Youth Initiatives Database that profiles youth crime prevention initiatives across the country, and our national Youth Advisory Committee!
Mission
As a by-youth for-youth initiative, we are uniquely qualified to act as a voice for young Canadians. DEAL.org believes that the voice of every young person is important, and that all youth have the ability to make positive contributions to their communities. Our website provides youth with information on issues that are important to them and gives adults insight about the things youth are dealing with. We are a forum for expression, promote leadership and provide youth with tools to make healthy life choices and to overcome obstacles in personal, family and community life.
