Flood your backyard and sharpen your skates, Hockey Day in Canada 2010 is only 35 days away!

On January 30th, Stratford Ontario will host Hockey Day in Canada marking a decade of this tradition that pays tribute to Canada’s favourite frozen game. Afternoon events will warm you up for the evening triple-header where Canadian NHL teams will face each other for the ultimate Hockey Night in Canada.

Hockey is a great example of a fun way to meet new friends, learn from great role models, stay active and gain confidence. It can bring your entire family or group of friends together for one day, an evening, or every game night while cheering for each other or your favourite team.

Hockey Day in Canada is one day a year people from all over Canada can come together and realize all of the benefits sports like hockey give us. Whether you are part of a sports association, school team, or just enjoy a game of pick-up, lace up your skates and clear off the pond; it’s Hockey Day in Canada.
