This past Sunday marked the beginning of National Police Week in Canada. This week aims to celebrate and honour the outstanding police work that our officers exhibit in communities across the country. Every day, police forces in Canada work to improve police-community cooperation (RCMP). This week we recognize not only the courage of our frontline officers, but the dedication of all officers far and wide, who work to do their part in reinforcing the importance of security, stability and teamwork within Canada.

National Police Week will officially come to a close on Saturday, May 15th. Now is a great time to get to know members of your local police force and thank them for the hard work they put in each day. There are lots of events going on this week across Canada to celebrate National Police Week. If you live in Ontario or Québec, check out this website (en Français) to see if there is an event taking place in your community.
