Watch out for that tree!

It takes many ingredients to make a good and fun party. But, on the other hand, there are also a lot of them that can make a party turn sour, such as illegal possession of alcohol; sexual assaults; fights; assaults with a weapon; robberies; drug possession, vandalism and trespassing; etc. (RCMP – GRC). These elements are dangerous and sometimes illegal, and they can unfortunately be found at parties like the ones we call “bush parties”.
Since bush parties usually take place in forests or fields (this is where the term “bush parties” comes from) and because the temperatures are getting cooler, Halloween might possibly be the last opportunity to have this kind of party. Bush parties aren’t always all bad, as long as they are well organized and the law is still respected, anyone can have a good time. It’s important to remember that it’s possible to avoid participating in events if they are not well prepared, if you don’t know many people and/or if you think illegal activities can occur, in the same way that you have the right to refuse to participate in certain games or activities, even if you’ve already agreed. In other words, whatever the situation, you can say no! Just like you can say no at any other types of parties, such as skin parties and rave parties, or any experience that can take place during one, like binge drinking, drinking and diving, etc.
Have a happy and safe Halloween, tons of fun… and lots of candy!
