LSD
LSD is the most powerful hallucinogenic known. The more the dose increases, the more intense the hallucinations become.

Appearance
It is sold on the street as coloured drops on blotting paper, gelatin sheets, tablets, capsules or liquid solutions.
Side effects
- Pupils dilate
- Increased perspiration
- Colours appear brighter, objects more sharply defined or distorted
- There are possible changes in perception of time and distance
- Body feels light or heavy
- Difficulty concentrating
- Impaired short-term memory
- Extreme mood swings, including joy, desperation, depression, anxiety, terror and aggression
- No known deaths have been directly caused by overdose, but drug-induced confusion has caused accidents
Long term effects
- Decreased motivation and interest or prolonged depression and anxiety
- An LSD high may spontaneously recur days, weeks or even months later through flashbacks
- Use during pregnancy may be related to increased incidence of spontaneous abortion or fetal abnormality

- LSD was first created in 1938 at Sandoz Pharmaceuticals by Dr. Albert Hoffman, LSD was investigated as a therapy for mental illness and as a weapon for chemical warfare (The Psychedelic Library).
